Hunter Street Pastoral Care

The New Life Bible study is a men's support group for those who are struggling with or in recovery from alcoholism. The group meets on a regular schedule to grow in Christ-likeness by studying God’s word, to minister to one another, and to share common experiences.

A Dementia Caregivers Support Group is available for people whose family members have dementia. We offer a respite class during the support group time, so family members can come and talk with others while their loved one is cared for. Register below for the next support group.

If you have experienced the pain that comes from the death of your husband, the Always Loved Ministry may be for you. The group offers encouragement and friendship with other women who know what it is like to be a widow.

Our Special Needs Ministry exists to create a place where individuals with special needs and their families can belong and grow.

GriefShare is a ministry for men and women of any age who have suffered the loss of a family member or a close friend. The group uses a biblically based GriefShare study in an intimate class setting. Contact Kelly Parker for more information about GriefShare and the class schedule.

Are you carrying the heavy burden of pregnancy loss? You do not have to walk this path alone. Our church family offers a safe, confidential care group for women who have experienced the pain of miscarriage. In a gentle environment, we come alongside one another to share our stories, lean on the promises of God, and navigate the journey of grief together. These volunteers bring church home to members who are physically unable to attend worship or activities. They visit, send cards and letters, remember birthdays and anniversaries, and pray for members who may live in assisted living, nursing homes, or their own homes.

Volunteers in this ministry demonstrate God’s love to families during sickness or death by preparing and delivering a simple meal (casserole), praying for the family, and sending a note of encouragement.

Prayer Ministry volunteers pray weekly for specific spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs of the Hunter Street family and community.
