Meet Spencer Knight, Minister of Ministries

Spencer grew up in Prattville, Alabama where he became a follower of Christ through the ministry of First Baptist Church Prattville. He is married to Amy Knight and they have two daughters, Anna Caroline and Olivia.

Spencer is passionate about loving God, knowing God and serving God while leading others to do the same. He enjoys helping people find their best fit for ministry through working in the ministries department. In addition he helps lead young married couples to reach others with the gospel, teach biblical truth, and minister to the needs of one another through the small group Sunday School ministry.

Another area of passion is leading Hunter Street’s mission efforts to proclaim the name of Christ in the borough of Camden in London, England.

Prior to serving at Hunter Street, Spencer served in the educational and adult ministries at Taylors First Baptist in Greenville, South Carolina and Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything, God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

The Ministry department is the place for you to discover your giftedness and how you can plug in to serve others.

Our department is driven by four principles found in 1 Peter 4:10-11:

Every believer has been given a spiritual gift, or SHAPE, for ministry.
This gift/SHAPE is to be used to serve other believers.
This gift/SHAPE is an extension of God’s grace, and we are called
to be good stewards of this grace.
We serve out of our gift/SHAPE so that God may be glorified in everything.

We want to encourage you to use your giftedness/SHAPE to serve the body of Christ.
