Soli Deo Gloria: Glory To God Alone is the theme for all we will do at Hunter Street in 2008. This year is devoted to understanding what it means to glorify God and speak of His glory. It is our desire to see how God reveals His glory so that we may see it, enjoy it, share it and, in the end, live for His glory.
In keeping with our Soli Deo Gloria emphasis, Pastor Buddy Gray begins a new sermon series from Paul’s letter to the Ephesians entitled The Glory of God’s Grace.
Christianity is supremely a religion of grace. We sing about grace, we write poems about grace, we name our churches and our children after grace. However, the truth is grace is not well understood and often not really believed. We use the word a great deal but rarely think about what it means. Our understanding of God’s grace is crucial because to be wrong about God’s grace is to be wrong about the heart and core of our faith.
In this study we will discover that whether it is grace for salvation, grace for sanctification, grace for service, grace for suffering, grace to keep us singing, grace to govern our speech, or grace for any other need—Christ is more than adequate to supply what is needed according to the riches of His grace.
