Coffee And Conversation will be a time of refreshments and a fascinating discussion of forgiveness. All women are invited. It’s from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Tickets, $5 each, are on sale in the Church Office.
Forgiveness. Each and every day we face the need to practice forgiveness. Rude drivers, petty arguments, insults, competition, daily life situations–not to mention major life events like divorce, illness, job loss, rape, robbery, you name it– all challenge our ability to forgive. We get angry with ourselves, others, and even God. Our ongoing opportunities to forgive help develop our faith and dependence on God.
Secret Holocaust Diaries. Denise George has edited and co-authored a widely acclaimed book entitled, Secret Holocaust Diaries: Nonna Barrister. Denise will offer insights on recognizing and conquering forgiveness from the very least to the very greatest of grievances that we encounter.
You are invited to a life-changing journey to the Holy Land with fellow members and guests of our church family. On this trip, you will gain a deeper understanding of Christian history and the life of our Lord as we visit places you have read and studied about in God’s Word. These include places where Jesus walked, lived, taught, performed miracles, where He was crucified and raised from the dead. We will take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, worship in the Garden of Gethsemane and much more.
Dates. The Holy Land Tour is March 9-18, 2010, with an optional Cairo, Egypt extension, March 18-22, 2010.
Lowest Possible Pricing. The “price per person” is the lowest possible pricing considering the time of year and means of travel and accommodations. Our church is not accepting incentives for hosting this trip and has passed those savings along to trip participants in the form of lower pricing.
As of right now, the trip is full and there is a waiting list. You must put down a deposit to put your name on the waiting list. If you do not go on the trip, that deposit will be returned to you.
Tell Me More. A Walk Where Jesus Walked flier is available in the Church Office with full details, including price and itinerary. If you are interested and want to find out more, plan to attend a Holy Land meeting at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, or contact Tommye Lambert.
“Go” is the theme for our 2009 Singles Beach Retreat, July 23-26 at Majestic Beach Towers in Panama City, Florida. All single adults are invited to this retreat that will include plenty of time to rest, relax, worship and learn with other Single Adults. Find out more and register at www.hunterstreetsingles.org.
Relive the music and drama of our 2008 Christmas pageant, Beautiful Savior, now available for viewing. It was presented on December 14 during all three morning worship services.
