Hunter Street Choir: It’s Time
Time for what? Time for singing. Time for passion. Time for commitment. Time for Christ-exalting, God-honoring sacrifice. Time for you to lead worship in the Hunter Street Choir! No experience or audition is required — just a love for God, a love for His people, and a love for singing His praise! Have kids? Don’t worry, childcare is provided and we dismiss by 8:15 p.m. The Hunter Street Choir is a great, high-impact way to serve. Visit a rehearsal this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and see for yourself.

Ring Those Bells. Children’s Handbells will begin on Wednesday, August 27 in Room W201. Beginners, grades 3 and up meet at 4:00; intermediates meet at 4:30 and advanced meet at 5:15 p.m. weekly. Contact Faye Wilson for more information.

Living A Devoted Life
“Devoted: Being A Genuine Church,” is Pastor Buddy Gray’s sermon series focusing on what it means to “be the church.” The church is not a building…it is people. See how worship, prayer, Bible study, fellowship, outreach, showing mercy, and serving others
glorify God when they become part of who we are… and not just what we do!

Devoted Envelopes. Do you need a “Devoted” envelope? Pick one up at The BookStore, a Welcome Desk, the Church Office or on any Info board.

Devoted: 24-Hours of Prayer.
Mark your calendar for September 12-13. Prayer is the foundation of God’s work in and through us as the body of Christ. Join other members of our church family starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12 as we devote one hour in prayer for God’s will to be done in our lives, our church, our community and the world.  This time of prayer concludes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13.

Click here to sign up for an hour, or look for sign up sheets in your Sunday School box, the church office or on the Living Truth table near the bookstore in the children’s atrium.  For more information, contact Sharon Jordan.

e-Blast. Sign up for e-Blast! During this sermon series you will receive a weekly email from Buddy with practical and encouraging ways to live a Devoted life. Click on e-Blast button to register.

Desire of the Heart
Desire of the Heart ministry supports women facing infertility, miscarriage or struggles with adoption within the boundaries of a biblical world view. Its focus is to encourage each individual who faces the physical, emotional, spiritual and ethical aspects of this journey. The next meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. August 25 in Room S109. Contact Mary Beth Rush for more information.

Lunch With Wayne Grudem.
On Monday, September 15, join others in the world of business for a different sort of power lunch! This 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. luncheon will investigate another side of business: how it can bring glory to God. Wayne Grudem, one of the Living Truth Conference speakers, believes business is a neglected way to glorify God. Learn why and be challenged in your concept of business and of God at this Living Truth Conference special mid-day event.

Registration is $15 per person and includes lunch and a copy of Grudem’s book, Business for the Glory of God. Reservations are required and space is limited. Make your reservation today at www.livingtruthconference.org or register in person at the Church Office.
