Scott Allred, Minister of Music Video

Meet Scott Allred, Minister of Music

Scott has been Hunter Street's Minister of Music since March of 2003. He is married to Melody and together they have four children, Madeline, Emily, Jack, and Sam.

Originally educated and trained as a medical doctor, Scott changed careers in response to God's call and has been in full-time music ministry since 1995. At Hunter Street, he supervises the overall music ministry, provides leadership to the music staff, directs and shepherds the Hunter Street Choir, coordinates, plans and leads weekend worship services, and produces music-related events including Remember & Rejoice Weekend, Praise 150 Worship Events, and Christmas productions.

For fun, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, reading, exercising, Alabama football, barbecue and chocolate!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... 1 Peter 1:3

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe… Hebrews 12:28

With well over a thousand participants, the music ministry is comprised of ordinary men, women and children who know first-hand of the greatness of God and of the abundance of His lovingkindness, grace and mercy in a believer's life. They are thankful, joyful, and excited about ascribing to Him the glory due His Name! They love the Lord and share that testimony by singing, playing an instrument, acting, speaking, and creating for God's glory. Serving in the music ministry is a wonderful opportunity to

    • glorify God
    • grow in Christ and inspire others to do the same
    • develop life-long relationships
    • discover abilities and hone skills
    • participate in the work of God in the church and have a lasting impact on the life of Hunter Street
