Hunter Street Baptist Church

Hunter Street is a church on purpose.

Our purposes can be summarized in two scriptures from the book of Matthew. They are commonly called"The Great Commandment" and "The Great Commission."

These scriptures give us the five core purposes for which the church was created:
• Fellowship. "Baptizing them..."
• Discipleship. "Teaching them to obey..."
• Ministry. "Love your neighbor as yourself..."
• Evangelism. "Go and make disciples..."
• Worship. "Love the Lord with all your heart..."

These five purposes are reflected in our core ministries respectively: Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Missions, and Magnification.

Not Buildings, But People

"Hunter Street is not buildings, it's people," says our Pastor, Buddy Gray. "Our campus is not the church--it's the people in it that are Hunter Street. Our campus is just a tool to reach people and minister as Christ has called each of us to do."
