Sunday Morning Women’s Bible Studies
Many opportunities exist for women to grow in their walk with Christ in Sunday morning Women’s
Bible Studies. Sunday School is a core program at our church and there are women’s only classes
at all three Sunday School hours.
Learn more about Sunday School and find a class.
Women’s Bible Studies
A variety of Bible studies are offered and are open to all women in our church and their friends.
See a description of studies and register here.
Moms in Touch
Moms In Touch Internationals impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers
to pray. Our desire is to be an encouragement and positive support for moms and for our schools.
There are several groups that meet weekly during the school year at Hunter Street, including a group
that meets on Sunday afternoons for all age groups and schools. New women are always welcome to
join us as we pray for our children, teachers, administrators and staff.
Women On Mission
Women on Mission (WMU) and Women Making a Difference (WMD) are missions organizations for all women through which we pray for and give to missions,
do missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work
of the church. Our WMU and WMD meets the second Tuesday of each month. All women are welcome.
WMU (Women Missionary Union) is for all adult women. This group of
women meet monthly to pray for missions, hear from missionaries and Hunter Street missions teams, and
also participate directly themselves in many local missions opportunities.
* About WMU. Founded in 1888, Woman’s Missionary Union is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist
Convention that seeks to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with missions education to
become radically involved in the mission of God
WMD (Women Making A Difference) is a group of women that meet quarterly to pray globally and act locally. This includes praying for local and foreign missions, learning about missions and a missions-minded lifestyle and taking action within the Birmingham and our church community to support missions.
Woman to Woman Mentoring
From generation to generation women have a need to learn from other women. Women who are younger in
their walk with the Lord can learn much from a mentoring friendship.
Women's Welcome Team helps to make all new women members feel welcome, and informed. We meet with the new women members, and have coffee or lunch together, and find out their needs so we can help get them plugged in to Sunday school or in to ministry areas.
Please contact Mary Carolyn Sullivan for more information or to get involved.
