Refugees from many nations have settled in this suburb of Atlanta. Most do not speak English and all are faced with many other challenges as they begin adapting to life in the United States. Most also do not know Christ as Savior and Lord.
Won’t you join those from Hunter Street who travel to Clarkston on a regular basis to offer the love of Christ in a variety of ministries: job skills training and assistance, backyard Bible clubs, sports activities, cleanup/fixup of residences, and ESL Teams from Hunter Street join with followers of Jesus from other churches and the host church (Clarkston International Bible Church) to offer hope to so many who have no hope. Team members also prayerwalk apartment complexes where refugees live and engage in one-on-one and small group prayer with them. Opportunities to build relationships are abundant.
This opportunity is ideal for families, students, single adults, and older adults. It is also close to Birmingham, only a 3-hour drive away. Come yourself to see what God is doing in this international missions field (almost) in our own backyard.
