Meet Chris Sullivan, Associate Pastor
Chris is from Jasper (Curry), Alabama and his wife Judy is from Enterprise. Chris joined Hunter Street in 1990 and met Judy through the Single Adult Ministry. Chris and Judy were married in 1992 and have three children Elizabeth, Jonathan and Sally Grace.
Chris is a graduate of Samford University and attended seminary at Beeson Divinity School. He was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1986, and has served as pastor and associate pastor prior to joining the ministerial staff at Hunter Street.
The areas of ministry where Chris serves include peacemaking ministry, premarital counseling, marriage prep, intercessory prayer, hospital ministry and bereavement ministry. He has also taught or assisted churches and individuals through peacemaking seminars and Christian Mediation.
Chris grew up on his family’s farm, which he still enjoys visiting, to help with the chores. He also likes outdoor sports and spending time with his wife and children.
At the heart of the Pastoral Care ministry is a desire to shepherd God's people in a loving, Christ-centered way. In Paul's letter to the Romans, we are encouraged to "rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep (12:15 ESV)." Hunter Street offers a variety of ministries to minister to the hurting and those in need.
